The Pit Crew is proud to announce our second annual Toys for Tots Trampoline Tournament, being held on Sunday, December 4th!
This is no ordinary dodgeball tournament: we will be playing at Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park. You read that correctly: dodgeball on trampolines. Each dodgeball court is made entirely of trampolines, from wall-to-wall and halfway to the ceiling. The walls are even angled, allowing players to flip, jump, and dodge like a ... dare we say it ... Jedi!
Registration opens on November 21st at Noon. Registration is capped at 84 players. We will have a maximum of 12 teams, with 6-7 players apiece. Teams will be generated. Registration costs $35 AND one new, unwrapped, children's toy for the Toys for Tots drive. This covers both a spot in the tournament and your transportation to Sky Zone. Does not include Sky Zone socks ($2). Players will have the option to register with a friend and be placed on a team with that friend. If you plan on registering with a buddy, both partners must register independently. There will be a space to indicate who your partner is. Please use their full name. You and your partner must indicate each other in the first step of registration. If you write down the name of your partner but your partner writes down another, you will not automatically be paired together.
The schedule for the tournament will be roughly:
3:30-5:30: Happy Hour plus announcement of teams
5:30: Busses and cars depart for Sky Zone
6:30: Arrival and registration
7:00: Tournament Begins (7 PM sharp!)
9:00: Busses and cars depart back for DC
Keeping with Stonewall Dodgeball's spirit of philanthropy, we are also asking each player to bring an unused, unwrapped toy with them to the pre-tournament Happy Hour where representatives from Toys for Tots will be on hand to collect the toys for kids in need this holiday season.
Not only will this be an awesome opportunity to try a new form of dodgeball, meet new people, and get ready for Season VIII - it will be a fun way to give back to the community this holiday season!
